Doh! You're paying $2500 a year for 1 vehicle? Ouch! I think I'm paying around $600 for full coverage on my SS454 pickup. The 68 Camaro is $255 for full coverage but that's collector's insurance.

OK so heres the deal...

I purchased a Black on Silver 1995 Z28 M6.
The insurance is going to be ~$3,500 a year with full coverage.

With my"305" 1985 Trans Am, I was paying $2,300 with state minimum.

Its defenitly not that bad. Im only 18, and the insurance will stable itself down to 3,000 after I turn 19 next month. And trust me this is the cheapest & best I can get.

I'll never forget I was quoted $14,000 a year for a 1998 Z28 Camaro.

NJ auto insurance is definitely out of control! I would never pay more than $1500 for full coverage. If that means driving something boring for a couple of years, then so be it. Paying more than $2500 for insurance is a huge waste of money. I don't feel so bad being old now! Maybe I'll get a senior citizens discount soon.

I'm with you! My wife's '03 Jeep Liberty is $950/yr with full coverage, and my two SS's run about $550 each. When I get the '88 appraised and classic insurance put on it, it'll cost me about $1K for full coverage with a stated value policy. Being married and 30 has some advantages.

I dont think you guys understand, this is good news lol.

Bad news is I cant get the car this weekend, like I hoped. The owner wants cash, and hes only available on the weekends So this saturday, im picking up all the paper-work and keys. Then through-out the week I'll get all that legal jazz out of the way.

Things Im doing right away when I get the car :
- Inspected
- Skip-Shift Eliminator
- Get the alarm system fixed
- Replace the door pins, to prevent future door sag
- TSP Rumbler Cat-back
- CAI
