dmv inspection

speaking of dmv you think they will give me **** for my horn not being connected? or my emergency brake not working? let me know cause i might take it to get inspected today if i go the 7 blocks from my house that it is to the dmv

Im not sure, but the car is manual, I think they are going to check the e-brake. I rember going with my friends Escort GT (5-speed) locking the rear brakes when you used the E-brake, and it locked lol.

And they are going to hit the horn too, to make sure it works.

I study the DMV everytime I go.

oh well i gues si have to wait another 2 years to inspect. By the way who the hell knows how to install a ebrake cable right. cause ive had it changed 2 times and each time it worked for like a day then stoped.

ive failed for ebrake not working and most of the time they do check the horn so yah you'll probably fail if thats not working properly.

I barely passed with my old bird. The handle had to be straight up for it to somewhat work and it passed somehow. Few days later the cable snapped and till i sold the car i never had a parking brake (it was a 5 speed btw)

Both things they check at inspection. No way around it unfortunetly, and they get in the car so you cant rig anything up or nothing.

I had to change mine once. When I replaced my clutch to get the center console out I would pull the e-brake alllllll the way up...and one time removing the center console it snapped. I think it was a $38 dealer part...and it's a real pain in the ass to replace teh cable....about 1-2 hours worth of work mainly because it's just a pain.
