what's the most you spend on a date?
just out of curiosity, as i have been out of the loop for a while. what's the median amount you spend for a night out? including dinner, drinks, entertainment - basically the entire night, all-inclusive.
cheap-skates who throw a burger down her throat, take her out for drinks and a little dancing, because you know you can move, a little tonsil hockey in the backseat and having her home before the street lights come on don't need to tell me how much that is. i've done that so many times it's hard not to remember the hard earned five bucks i could lose in a night doing stuff like that... dutch treat, of course, and she would've had to buy the drinks.
the last time i was out on the town, i think i dumped $200. dinner, cocktails, tickets for the show, parking, taxes and gratuity. seems to me i remember not getting lucky that night, too... it almost seems like the ones you spend the most on usually give you a peck on the cheek at the end of the night.

Last time I went out to a nice dinner with my wife, it was over $100 (Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in Weehawken). If you're gonna see a movie, figure another $30. A Broadway show will be around $100 for a pair of good seats.

seriously, it's been so long since i've been out on a date that i don't remember the show we saw. or maybe that's just the senility setting in...

Ive never been on a real "date"
I think the most I spent was at a macaroni grill once for a dinner with my ex-girlfriend.
The others were just movie tickets.

$40 is the most I can remember spending and yeah, just a small kiss.
I guess when you're married a date is more like a whole evening spent doing something OTHER than "parking." Hence the higher cost. Seriously, if I go to an expensive restaurant I'd be there for a WHILE to get my money's worth.
Oh, did anybody else notice that the dollar is worth less today than it was yesterday. It just seems like the price of gas, milk, movies, dinner, and girls goes up ever week .

Ah...have to think that 100 bucks is average, but its few and far between when we go out. Most of the time we just crash at either of our houses and make dinner.
Now THATS the best way to do it. Make dinner for your date. 8)

I don't know what it's like once you're married, but I don't generally spend more than maybe $50 or $60. Usually between $30 and $40 on dinner at a place like Applebee's, Friday's, or a nice small Italian place. Then maybe $20 on the movies or even better, $5 on a rented movie where you can be more "comfortable".
I would tend to think that first dates are a lot more expensive for most people because they want to make a good impression. This is a good theory and all, but why set them up for a disappointment if you're not into spending that much money all the time. Once you've been dating someone a while I think $35 is about the average, atleast for me, but maybe I'm cheap??

Yea, that's pretty much normal when we go out....dinner and/or movies. Usually we're just hanging out with friends or kickin back watching a movie.

Speak for yourself Kel, money spent on me is money well spent.
Nah, I like to have money spent on me...once a year, maybe twice max. Otherwise I prefer to at least help pay if I can when we go out. If I can't, I try to pay for all of something next time. And yeah, homemade meals (if you can cook) are often better than restaurants.

Skip the date and put something on the car. Costs you less in the long run, and will save your sanity.

With kraft EZMac, a microwave, some nice siverware and dishes, and a little bit of art, you dont even need to know how to cook to have a nice looking dinner.

that is if you even get that far...i.e. that is if you aren't a bonehead who uses their cell phone as a hockey puck in a random moment of drunkness and loses that girls number.
Next time, instead of tattooing your name on your back why don't you get a girl's number tattoed on you so you can't lose it. Twit.

personally i have a better time just kicking back at home or at my boyfriends rather than a date. but a date now a days can run you out of 50 bucks, easy. and certainly more than that, depending on what you do. my boyfriend never lets me pay, and i always offer to. so far i have only gotten him to let me treat him (to ice cream. it was like 4 bucks for the both of us. big woop) once, and he says that was the one and only time he'll let me. but personally, i would rather split the bill, for dinners and such, cuz it's only fair.
Bottom line,
You don't need to spend money on liz.
