LED third brake light tripping ABS codes

Whats up guys. I have a 95' LT1 and i just bought a new wing that has a LED 3rd brake light in it. After having is installed my ABS light came on. I had the car scaned and it came up as Brake Lamp Switch Open. I talked to a friend and he said that the LED's dont draw enough power for the EBCM to see that the brake lamp switch is closed. has any one had this problem before. If so how do i go about fixing it?

well if that is the cause, the easiest fix would be to install a 12v relay. the brake light singal would activate the relay and then a constant hot power source would light up the leds. that way the signal from the brake switch isnt going through the leds.
