LoOkInG for m6 clutch ls6,z06,spec.....

looking for a better than stock clutch for my ls1 z28.
not looking to leave real hard, d.d. car, and i would like the clutch pedal feel to be near stock with good h.p. holding power.
maybe a z06 clutch, spec carbon/kevlar single disc.

i don't want to feel like i am doing leg squats.

whiplash , js , got a good price. or a take out setup.

Our custom clutches for LS cars start at $475 with a special rate for installation with purchase..
You should consider replacing the slave clyinder at the same time.
Also flushing the hydraulic system and changing the transmission fluid would be a good idea as well.

ahhh... just need the clutch.
i have adjustble pedal/master a spec slave and all.
this will be a fresh install changing over from auto to stick

how is the custom clutch you sell. looking for a near stock feel but good h.p. holding power. pushin around 550 @ the rear whls
but not a pedal dropper, car is a daily driver and i don't launch real hard.
needs to hold well and not slip when powershifting @ 7000 rpms

i have a spec twin that i dont want to use cause its a calf killer

550 @ the wheels through an automatic is probably around 650 at the engine. With the power you are making you need a decent amount of holding force to move the car.. With a pressure plate that beefy it is going to be hard to keep pedal feel "near stock" (which feels like crap to me). Your master and slave combo will also have an affect on the pedal feel. I dont know what master you are running and I have never used the Spec slave so I relly don't know how they are going to act. Also, any clutch that has a real light pedal feel is going to have a long travel distance which hurts your shift timing.
I can build a clutch that will work well with your power level but I can not guarantee a "near stock" pedal feel and we only sell our clutches installed due to the number of variables that can drastically affect clutch operation and longevity. Maybe you can ask some of my customers that have my clutches for their LS combos and see what they think about the feel.

Thanks
Josh

yeah , iknow i'm asking for alot here.
when i say near stock, just meaning i don't want to feel like i'm doing leg squats. from the jersey shore area so i deal with alot of traffic and would like a rather easy pedal feel.
i'm always on the phone, calling in orders or talking to builder/clients so easier to drive the better it is for me.
thanks for your time. and maybe i will call monday for the clutch.
timing is of the essence and i would need this clutch in my possesion by wednesday. let me know if that is possible

would you be able to give me a price on a spec stage 2 , or 2+?

I.E. - input shaft alignment, slave cylinder throw, flywheel surface, installation of pilot bearing, and proper break in procedure..

Sorry, I do not sell Spec or any other brands. I started building my own because I was unhappy with the quality and value of what was available. I wouldnt sell them to my customers if I wasnt happy with them myself..

If you are looking to install it yourself I am sure Hanlon motorsports can hook you up with a great deal on a RAM clutch kit.
