I tried...

to get my own car insurance policy. I pay my part now on my parents policy BUT, I want it in my name. So I call afew companies. Get a quote. They run my licence and my quote goes right out the window. I had a nice price for 6 mnths. Then it goes from nice to $2200 for a 6 mnth policy.

Totaly not worth driving like I used to. So I got till May of 09 left on my rents insurance. After that my lil bro is driving so I have to find my own. Oh, that price is for min. insurance on a 94 Jimmy. The Trans Am I decided to look up for laughs. $5000 for 6 mnths.

i always get raped on insurance....but if you call progressive they will sell you the insurance before they run your license and dont jack it up afterwards. 600 for 6 months basic liability with uninsured motorist coverage

07/22/05 Careless Driving
10/14/05 1 - 14 mph over limit
9/15/06 Unsafe operation of a motor vehicle
9/26/06 15 - 29 over speed limit
10/13/06 failure to yeild
10/13/06 15 - 29 over speed limit
11/17/06 Traffic device or sign

Thats with tickets disappeared already.
I had 8 points, went down to 17, I should now have 11, but i think I still have 17 points. I also lost my licence for 4 or 6 mnths I forget how long it was.

So my getting tickets is now over due to the fact that its hitting my wallet extremely rough. I will admit that 3/4 of my tickets i deserved. The other 1/4 I got because I am me and they wanted my licence since I drove like a complete moron.

So all you yonger kids on here. Drive nice!!!

Just because the points aren't on your license anymore doesn't mean the insurance companies have forgotten about them, it takes longer for them to forgive you

you should look into state provided insurance. i am one of those drivers so the state selects an insurance company to provide coverage for me. its $4000 for a year. i had 21 points, 4 suspensions of various lengths, and no accidents. don't speed and drive...

All you people with minimal insurance to reduce your monthly / annual costs are really going to pay for things if you have an accident with injury. Your choice to have lower expenses may really affect your life and future finances. This is NJ. If you're young and full coverage insurance on an F-body is several thousand... buy a Saturn and don't drive like a moron. Get past the need to "look cool" by driving too fast or reckless, and enjoy your car responsibly.

Don't drive like a moron and you won't have problems. Don't speed through busy or residential areas.

USAA ftw! Only insurance I've ever had where the body repair guys sighed in relief when I mentioned I have them for insurance.
