Women Drivers...
Personally, I dislike femenists. They have it all wrong.
And I'm not gonna go all women power on you guys, but, I've gotta know....
why why why why have the majority of you said that women can't drive?AND, which age ranges are you talking about. Because I can admit that younger girls cannot drive, and they MUST go like 50 mph everywhere.
bitches. But come on, all women?
I am highly interested in hearing your horror stories.

I just wrote a HUGE reply but took it down because it might be misinterpreted. Let's just say that I've had bad luck with women drivers. Cell phones and parking lots, cell phones and parking lots....

Girls in general tend to be doing a lot of things while driving, ie cell phones, friends in car, make up, or even just emotional.
This doesnt bar guys from being Gods giftt to cars, I guess it just happens more to girls.
I have not had any problems with women drivers yet. One did hit me, but it wasnt her fault. I had to avoid the person stopping short, and darted into her lane.

Had a college age girl, on her cell phone, pull out of a parking lot right in front of me. It was a long right turn lane so its not like I all of a sudden appeared in front of her.
Turns out that was her third accident, the insurance company she had dropped her, and I didn't owe her a thing. Fortunately no one got hurt, and the car I was driving was a rental. 8)
I don't blame all women, just those that drive.

I hate to say it, but it's all ages and in all types of vehicles. Talking on cell phones(lots of guys do it too), turning around to talk to someone else in the vehicle(usually kids), not knowing the speed limit of the road they are on, making a right on red or a right at a stop sign without even coming to a stop to look and see if somebody is coming. I only have a 5 mile drive to work and I see this almost every day. I'm not sure why women are the biggest offenders but it's not even close. I'd say it's 80% women vs 20% men doing these things. And the bigger the vehicle they drive the worse the offense.

I hate the ones that sit at a red light and put their make-up on. WTF 'If you would've gotten up a tad earlier, you could've done it at the convinence of your own home... Instead, I have to wait an extra 5 seconds through a green light, and honk my horn to get your attention'
"GO POUND SALT LADY!"
One time, there was a guy on his cell phone making a left hand turn on Rt 46west and I was making the same right hand turn on 46east. I had the right away, but he almost clipped my front bumper, so I laid on the horn and gave him the finger and told him to **** Off . What does he do? He switches his cell phone to the other hand to give me the finger. What a tool.

Why "women driving" scares me; the majority of them see their cars as a mode of transportation, nothing more. Where men see them as their livelihood. A women could care less if she drives or is driven somewhere so long as she gets there. Men have a larger ego so we're paranoid in parking lots that somebody isn't paying much attention to the car pulling out behind the big tall van.
For me it wasn't just parking lots and cell phones. I've been pulled out on and had near misses just pulling out of my hidden driveway. Men honk early to warn me that they want to get past, women seem to just pull around me while I'm backing out. It's as if the men KNOW I can't see them because they can't see me where as the women think because they can see the back of my car that I'll see them in time . The guys are definatly more aggressive but merge cut-off's and speeding games have never gotten me in any trouble. It's always been these close calls in parking lots where it's no fault. No fault means just that and I'd rather not take the fault when it isn't mine!

most of the time, it's lack of judgement. they pull out in front of you thinking they have enough time, but they didn't and if i don't stand on the brakes then it's my fault because i hit her. and then they have the audacity to make funny gestures into the rearview mirror, like i did something wrong. if i hit her, then maybe she'd learn something, but since most people like to protect their vehicles, they'll do anything to avoid back-ending someone.
making a right turn on red without checking to see if "it's safe to do so", which just so happens to be part of the law. 'course, they didn't read that far, so they have no clue. they think they can do it whenever, whereever and if anyone is coming then it's their responsibility to avoid hitting her.
making a right turn on red where the signs are clearly posted, "NO TURN ON RED". i guess that means everyone but her.
turning without a turn signal. hey, they are part of your car for a reason. i forgot to put the towel on my head this morning, so i am not able to read your mind.
changing lanes without a turn signal. now, i know this is a stretch, but it's also the law. you must use a turn signal well in advance of your lane change to signal to other drivers that you wish to change lanes.
passing in a residential zone. ok, first of all, the speed limit is 25 in all areas that are not clearly marked with a speed limit. i am not lying, look it up. second, it is clearly marked 25 mph. third, there is absolutely no passing allowed in a residential zone, whether on the right or on the left.
passing when there is not enough room and making on-coming traffic either put on the brakes or pull into the breakdown lane, or both. self-explanatory.
use of a cell phone while driving. yep, it's against the law.
i could go on and on, 'cause i've been driving for a few years. suffice it to say that women are the worst drivers. i cannot imagine why the insurance companies tend to give women better rates, unless it's for the glove-box full of speeding tickets i had when i was 17.
the worst offenders are the ones with the least experience, but i am finding women of all ages are exhibiting signs of poor driving. must be the ones who learned all of those bad habits when they were younger and now are just older.

wow, jims69camaro, I totally forgot about the signaling until you brought it up. I doesn't even strike me as odd anymore that people don't use the turn signal. It does strike a nerve when the women with the cell phone changes lanes or turns off without using her indicator because she's talking. I've never had that issue. I can take my hand off the wheel for a second without loosing control of the vehicle so why can't they? It's just one of those things that stands out when you think about. I was in Princeton the other night going out to dinner and I couldn't believe these SUV driving women... they can't parallel park but even worse is they wouldn't indicate that they were parking. The only indicator for me was their sudden slam on the brakes and reverse lights coming on. Granted I should have kept a better distance but I wanted the spots . In anycase, for anybody that doesn't know how to parallel park I've got a fool proof method that is EASY to learn. Man up and admit you need some help and I'll make you into the best darn parallel parking the world has ever seen. It's really easy, just ask me.
Seriously though, I think the reason insurance is cheaper for women is because a) they drive cheaper cars, b) the cars have no power to get them into leathal speeds, c) they get out of more tickets, d) they don't report minor accidents, e) they use more brake than gas so it's the person rear-ending them that is at fault, f) they're generally less aware of their cars ability to pull out into traffic (again getting rear ended), g) they don't have nearly as much road rage. I think those factors are the reasons that offset their bad driving habits. Oh, one more thing, h) cops have quotas for speeding tickets, not "not using turn signal" tickets.
It is a fact that guys get into more deadly accidents. That alone could be the reason we pay more.
My last little rant is about tail-gating. Since when did women in general start driving like guys? I've been tailed 50/50 women/men, it used to be only men. I've got women in mini-vans tailing me on when I'm 5-10 over the limit.
I know this has probably offended some women and I'm sorry if you're offended. I'm just saying what I feel, and I might be wrong, but it's how I feel.

ill admit, i cant parallel park and you'll never see me do it either.
As for tailgating, well i was just tailgated by a large, 300ish pound woman, on a cell phone who would come within inches of my bumper every couple of seconds. i was seriously pissed off. Some of that tailgating was done in heavy traffic going up hill and i drive a 6spd so it made me even more nervous. i can drive perfectly fine uphill (from a complete stop) but theres something about a huge minivan being 2 inches away from your bumper that makes me nervous.
