I just think its Lame, that Kasey has to resort to Slicks & Skinnies to beat a WWD Grand Prix. Â*Im rooting for Matt to take this in for a kill. Â*Why dont you go cry about it! Your the one thats so scared your brining a knife to a fist fight...

Im defenitly going to race your stupid ass and put you back in your place.

drag radials arent slicks, your panties are in such a wad that you're sayign the grand prix is RWD, and I know that unless you're even a worse driver than you've let on that a slightly modded LT1 will kill a slightly modded 3.8.

What's wrong with slicks and skinnies? It is a drag race....

From my understanding there were never rules laid out. Drag racing is a run what you brung, and hope you brung enough type of sport. If Matt doesn't want to race Kasey on slicks and skinnies, then it sounds to me like he really isn't all that confidant about his car.

Now your changing the story.

I think its lame to run a car on slicks & skinnies just once, because on the street every day you dont have slicks & skinnies, so what you run for the day isnt an actual representation of what you run on the street...(where you are 98% of time a year.) I could have sworn somoene harassed me about asking to borrow skinnies for the day...

James runs around every day with slicks & skinnies and its not a trailor queen. What the hell are you talking about kasey? Im just making a statement In your case you dont run slicks & skinnies every day, so your times you aquire on sunday dont represent the cars daily set-up.

For example, if your car ran 14.xx with slicks & skinnies and all this crazy weight reduction, when your at a stop light with your subs, street tires, and all the other crap your car will NOT be running 14.xx; then it will really count when you line up with another car that you could possibly beat at your 14.xx race set up. Its Run what Ya' Brung on the street too...

Well, did you make the same statement to Matt? I do beleive he has said that he removes a large amount of weight from the car before he shows up to the track....and that's cool. When going for your best ET, go all out.

Ok so since matt knows here it is for the rest of you... My previous best was a 15.700@87.47 with a 2.287 60', compared to Matt's previous best of 15.366@87.36 on a 2.256 60'

My mods then were: Magnaflow 3" cat and catback, SLP cold air, 160* thermo, ****** -rated 245 falkens on all 4 corners, 3.42 LSD, poly tranny mount (I think this was already in? right?) and tuning. Â*I was running on a FULL tank of gas, with my spare and jack in... my rear seatback and cushions were out from when I stripped it after my accident, and I took my subs out. I had a front absorption bar but no front bumper. Other than that, FULL weight.

Take away about 50 degrees and a lot of humidity, and add..

tim-boxed LCAs, !cat (bullet muffler going in its place) + tuning, poly torque arm bushing, LS1 driveshaft, and I will be running on DRs and skinnies, which they're bitching about because I'm using craig's old DRs and borrowing skinnies. [EDIT] OH and I forot the biggest mod of all , seafoam, new fuel filter, NGK plugs, Taylor wires, and an oil change [END EDIT]

Oh and uh, subtract some weight.

James's car is SO FAR from a daily driver that you automatically have a moot point.

Old Drag Radials, can be just as good as new. Depending on certain brands, they get better with age.

Well, age and tread are different. The BFG DRs that Kasey is getting from Craig will hook better and better until they start to cord. However these have been sitting in Craig's garage for almost two years, and I think they were used when he got them. I doubt that age is enough to make much of a difference in the rubber itself though....
