I know I'm new to "this" site but I've been around the various fbody boards for years. Check my feedback on ls1tech or on ebay gta_tony. These rims are MINT!
Even though they're not mine my friend has a great rep within the turbo buick community. These would look good on a 4thgen

Read my thread again I posted these for a friend. I'm not sure what the lug pattern and backspacing is. Whatever fits a 4thgen.
Give him a call...his number is in the first post.

I belive that the Chevelle has the same 5x4.75 lug pattern, but the back spacing is an issue. It will fit 67-92 Fbodies with a huge spacer/adapter.

Yup..like 2" - 3" spacers.
I'd LOVE to put them on my 73....but I'm dumping $500 for the deductible on my van shortly....

I wouldn't even think about running a 2-3" spacer unless you're looking for an accident. You'd be much safer getting a custom rear built that was spaced properly for the offset of the wheels.

Vette Brakes sells spacers, if you are so inclined.

You can call him but he won't take that little. He's already discounting them PLENTY enough. He paid around $1700-1800 for everything and they only have 500 miles on them.

the 1" and thicker bolt on spacers are safe. i ran them for a while when i had SS wheels on my 91 RS. i drove everyday and autocrossed with them, never any sign of a problem in about 2 years of abuse...er...um....i mean driving

Yeah, but your 91 RS didn't quite have the power and torque of a big block. It would be interesting to see if anyone has tested the strength and safety of spacers of different thickness. Did those spacers use the existing lug holes with longer wheel studs or did the spacers bolt to the wheel on the existing studs and then you needed another set of studs for the wheel? I would think 2-3" spacers need their own studs as well as bolting to the hub.

the spacers bolt on using shank style lug nuts to the existing studs. there is then another stud, usually longer than stock, sticking out of the spacer that you actually bolt the wheel to.
when i autocrossed there were tons of guys that ran them. i never heard of any problems with them. i also don't believe anyone has ever actually done a scientific test either. that would be a good thing to see.

Or just get wheels sized to fit the rear? Would prolly be the cheapest route out of all..lol
