LT's on a LO3?

would it be dumb to get LT's on a slightly modded 91 LO3? i wanna have all supporting mods done so in a couple months i can do my H/C/I swap faster... how would they work? would i suffer any power loss? and would it be dumb to go with a true dual set-up? thanks!

long tubes wouldn't be bad for your car, but true duals would

True Duals will drop any form of power gains. Just get a simple catback. But LT's would help just a little.

H/C/I = heads/cam/? if youre changing the heads later....the headers will have to come off anyway. no point in putting them on for 2 months and then taking them off again

long tubes will help top end power, and your peak torque will go up,. the torque curve will also move up the rpm range a bit. fab or having someone make a single tube exhaust. true duals are a waste of materials in 3rd and 4th gens. if you are ever in need of more tubing there are 2 or 3 companies making bolt on kits with up to 4 inch tubing, and i have seen at least 1 car with a custom 4.5inch single run.

awsome, thanks guys, i think im gonna go with the hooker 2055 header/y pipe and a slp LM1 catback from a 4th gen.... think it would sound good/flow good?
and yea i was using the abreviation H/C/I for heads cam and intake lol... i guess screw LT's i dont really need them unless im making huge numbers on the dyno

the hooker shorties are crap. if you go with short tubes look at edelbrock or slp. hooker, flowtech, summit/jegster headers are garbage.

Ugh. I would stay away from Edelbrock if you are attempting to make power. Pretty crappy design, IMO.
