Was challenged today...

By some spanish dude in a white 240...i was getting in my car to leave school today and this white 240 drove by...i glace over as the i can see the guy was giving me a "my car is 2 fast and 2 furious" look, and he goes to the end of the lot and revs a few times, nothing special...so i chuckle and get in my car...i start it up, and then notice he is right behind me now!! so im thinking,...and he utters those famous words "Wanna run?" Now i try not to laugh, but i humored him and said "Sure. When the weather is warmer, come find me." He then goes on to ask me if it was a Z28(at least he somewhat can distinguish an f-body)...I say yes and give a nice rev...i can actualy see his cocky smile fade a little...he asked if it was stick or auto...and i said it was auto...blah blah blah. He said "Run ya soon." And i saw him pull away and leave...he actually followed he halfway home, so im kinda creeped out...i actually hope he comes and finds me so i can shut him up or embarass him in front of his friends.

Let me describe the car too a bit...white 240, stock exhaust, didnt hear a turbo spool when he revved, and a Red/Black grant steering wheel from what i can see...could be fun...we'll have to wait and see...

even then if he was in neutral.......it u still won't hear the turbo..........if he had one.

U sure he didn't have one of those electronic blow off valve noise maker, cuz those add like 300 hp.

You could hear the turbo in my old 4Runner when I revved it. It spins all the time so why wouldn't you hear it? You won't hear the wastegate opening and giving you that whooosh sound but you'll hear it spooling.

the way i see it is it would be easier to have an auto if you have a 12 second or under car cuz shifting outta first gear comes quick

yeah but what happens when you have two people driving the same car on the same night.
Driver A has perfect conditions, only spins first and a little of second and goes 13.2x @109
Driver B has terrible track conditions (later in the night) cuts a better 60', spins going into every gear cause the track got slippery after a few ricers drop some fluids, he goes 13.3x@111 and never even drove the car before in his life.
What would you call that Kasey?

*awaits Jakes response..*

stick is only faster if you can really drive...there are very few people who can shift as perfectly (accurately and fast enough) as a programmed computer..ie auto trans
