The title of this thread...ah...nevermind

What 90formulaWS6 said is pretty accurate.

Keep in mind a 7.5 10 bolt sucks ass. You can only polish a turd so much.

http://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/te...nguprear.shtml
http://www.ws6transam.org/10bolt.html

a 7.5 is strong enough to put a lot fo full weight cars into the 10's routinely. you jsut have to take a few steps to help prevent case deflection and you will be good fro years of happy use.
both of these articles show the steps to take and the correct parts to use to make a strong 10-bolt.

That 3rdgen.org link is very interesting and informative. However, I doubt even a build up like that would last for me. I'm going with a Ford 9", thankfully i know a fabricator who will cut and do all the welding needed to make the rear fit for free. I'm using the brackets off my 1st SS rear(laying in my backyard now) Just gotta talk to a few people to get the ford axle retainer plates to work and i'm golden.

i would suggest a 12bolt. they are internally more efficiant and parts are less expensive.
both are plenty strong for double the power you plan to put down, so there will be no sacrifices either way on service life.
