Power Tour 2006: Recap

Well, it was a fun day. Lots of nice cars, some very rare (such as the Tucker with the twin turbo's), Camaro Concept, LS7 Solstice, LS7 4th Gen Camaro, LS7 GTO, Open Air Cobalt and HHR, the copper orange Solstice, to all the long haulers that came up through Florida, including Paul and his sexy IROC.
It didnt start out that fun, as I got pulled over driving up there with the licence thing.

i would have to say that the power kicked ass. there was like 3000+ cars there. so many nice cars to look at.

that made my night, to be able to drive my car with the same cars that i have drooled over in hot rod magizine. it was so awsome. and let me be the first to tell you that they are not all show no go. those guys were beating the living **** out of those car. that looked and sounded sick as hell.

Bill Howell's GTO is awesome.

I'll have to posty pics tomorrow. I drove out to Harrisburg with MadMike from nastyz28. I drove his LS1/T56 1971 Camaro a bunch. Fun time this tour thing.

The Mule. This is the prototype pro-touring car. This is the influence on the black one.

seems kinda blah to me................i guess i'm just not into cars like I used to be. Somehow, the idea of walking around all day looking at cars you couldn't have.........is just not appealing....at least not to me.

Yeah Power Tour was awesome. Anyone that's into the car culture needs to Long Haul next year. It was the best comrodery I'd ever experienced in my life. I had a blast. It's going to be a while before I can get my pics up but they aren't all that great. Next year the tour starts in Ohio and ends in Little Rock, Arkansas. My buddy and I are planning something big for our Long Haul vehicle already.

We talked to this guy in PA. He is 76, lives in KC and did the whole tour. I liked almost nothing about the car but loved talking to him!

Yeah, I thought it would just start in Etown? Go strait out on 80 to middle of PA, and make its way to Detroit for the finale!!
