what are the reasons people wear all those 'health' wrist bracelets?....i see tons of people with them on, do they actually do anything useful besides take up watch space?

I agree with that. I had a dream once that someone put one of those magnets on my car. Magnets on a silver car? I wanted to kill! ha

If they are incapacitated, they contain useful information about the persons ailments which would aide EMT personnel.

Or is he referring to those bracelets that work magically to reduce back pain and give you a better golf game?

No, those are the metal ones, the medi-alerts or something. I think he means like the yellow ones, etc.

They make you feel great! And I got a box full of them I'll sell ya for $25 each! Actually, I think they're made from the remains of the crashed UFO from Roswell and it's the alien technology that makes us feel so good!

The ones that supposedly alleviate pain, (braided metal bracelet with a ball at each end) are magentized. Supposedly the magnets draw the iron in your blood, making your blood circulate better, and thus helping alleviate pain and such. I believe it's a bunch of bs. It's just homeopathic therapy or something, if that's the right word. But it's really just all in your head. If they think that it works, then it does. It's more of healing through the belief that it actually works, than the actual ability of the bracelet to do so.

i am aware and i agree that the placebo effect does play a role in those bracelets but you are making speculations. i am saying that people that use them swear by them and therefore your argument is crap compared to theirs.

i was waling thru a mall once and a woman came up to me and put something on my shoulders, it ended up being a warm bag thingies. kinda like stupid bracelts. she said that if i keep that thing on my shoulders for like 20 minutes a day it will cure heart problems, make your bones stronger and all sorts of non sense. so its all crap. no warm bag on my shoulders is gonna make my bones stronger and prevent any potenital heart problems... but im sure there's someone who'll swear that it works

but one thing you cant argue is that if it works, then who cares. reguardless of it works the way they say it does. half the drugs on the market, the mechanism that makes them work is unknown or they were found by accident

i wasnt trying to argue, i dont really care if it works or not. i know im not spending my money on it cuz i know a braclet or a warm baggy wont cure my problems. if i ever go that low ill just pop some sugar pills and pretend its cure for cancer or something.

ahh im tired.
