Now we have to get rid of ALL forks in the house!
So, as you all know, genie and I live together. We are BY FAR the most accident prone people out there….. and we ARE TOGETHER!!!!! Scary huh?
Well, when we moved in together we had to dull all the sharp knives because I might hurt myself.
Well, now we have to either get rid of all forks in the house or put cork stoppers on all the ends of the forks in the house!!!!
Last night we went to my mom’s to celebrate my brother’s g/f’s b day. Mom decided to have fondu. Picture this….james and genie at a table with the following:
2 pots of near boiling oil
2 sets of open flames
1 was a sterno
1 was a combo of rubbing alcohol and something else flammable
and the forks to put the food on.
Well, you would think… open flames etc I would be hurt right??? Nope, it was genie. She was putting a piece of meat on one of the little forks….. the fork (after some pushing) eventually went all the way through the meat….. and into her hand..She jumped up and went to the kitchen….I took care of her…. Cleaned the hand, bandaged it, drugged her up w/ pain killers, yada yada yada.
Lucky for me I didn’t have to amputate her hand or arm…. I kinda like those parts of her still attached to her.
So, now her hand is wrapped up, she is going for a tetnus shot sometime today because she hasn’t had one in ages.
So…. The saga of the 2 most accident prone people lives on!

fondu forks are pretty sharp and they usually have a type of "hook" at the 2 tips.
