Not Cool...
Before i came to school i knew my car was in need of some repair, i lost the flange as mentioned previously and i knew it could use a little work, my dad took it to this local garage/gas station [Sunoco] that he always takes our cars to
According to them they need to replace my exhaust from the headers back and fix the brakes including the rotors... for this they're charging him 1800
He said if he can get out of work and make it to the shop before they close he's going to get a printout and call me with more details.
i've looked at exhausts and i'm rather familiar with the cost of headers but how much for the brakes?
the shop also said my power steering pump leaks, i have an oil leak, and there's something wrong with my transmission. (but they're not fixing those/included in estimate)
Edit:: SmokingSS it looks like i may want that trans

hmm if they're replacing headers back and doing brakes that sounds about right .... the main thing your paying for is labor youd be better off doing it yourself or maybe someone from here can do it cheaper

Get a detailed estimate before they do any work....sounds high to me for a brake job and new cat-back.

99% sure it's all gonna be stock replacement stuff. For that price, they better be replacing damn near the entire brake system too....

that's a rip. Buy headers, a cat (or bullet muffler), a catback, and call up rob and come to my house (1/2 block from him) and we'll install it all lol... will just need to get **** welded

get the full printout. If it's just rotors and pads well that's nothing... if your master is blown thats another story

Did you find out if it's a 3.4 or 3.8 yet?
Headers for each will be different.

Magnaflow catbacks are nice. Pacesetter makes headers for both engines I believe. I don't know if they still sell the headers for the 3.4 cars, but you can still find them new on ebay for about $250.
