How many of you go to the Somerville, NJ Car show?
Being we are in central NJ, i wondering how many of you go to the Somerville car show in summer on friday nights? Also, there is Manville, NJ on thursday nights. I live in Bound Brook, and their show isn't worth the gas to go. Also, have any of you ever been to the colorado cafe on friday nights in summer? I went there 2 times 2 summers ago, and they seemed to have a show every friday night too. Anyone know of that?

I make the S-ville show quite a bit. IMHO it is one of the best cruise nights going.

It really is one of the best cruise nights, but i liked it better when there weren't as many people there like it used to be. Now it gets ridiculously crowded. I only live 10 mins away from somerville, and i still gotta get there by like 4:15 nowadays to get a spot on the strip. You guys show your cars there?

I haven't had too many problems getting a spot. I have a routine I follow;
I make 2 passes down the street, then I head up to 7-11 on Mercer Street and get myself a BIG AZZ soda. Then I head back to Main Street and start looking for a place to park. I usually find something, so I park n' get out and check out the other rides.

Went twice last year. Nice atmosphere there and plenty of eye candy to enjoy.
The folks running the show are strung a little tight, especially whoever is in charge of directing the parking in the back of the church. Other than that, its a nice way to spend a Friday evening.

I go to all the shows you listed. Always bring my IROC. Somerville is a little out of hand these days....cars actually start rolling in around 3:00 or so on fridays. Makes me wonder what kind of jobs these people have.

Routes 12, 31 and 202 go through there. Which one is Main Street?

None of the above. Main street is accessible a number of ways.

If you are coming from down south your best bet is to go around the 202/31 circle and peel off towards rt 12. Then immediatly turn right off the next circle.
If you are coming from up north, you just turn right off of 31 at the traffic light by the "Garden Gate" nursery and follow the road to Main St.

If you guys have trouble getting a spot behind the church because some one is directing traffic there, you can get into that lot the back way. Theres actually 2 back ways.
In terms of the Colordado cafe car show, i distinctly remember seeing cars there on a friday night in summer 2 years ago. But somebody said its on thursday nights. Anyone know anything about that show?

I try to get to Somerville as much as possible. I am usually there every week, but this past season I only got there a few times. I have spotted several nice F-bodies there.

Colorado is very hit or miss. Some weeks it's jumping and others it's empty. No rhyme or reason to it.
