INDIANA STATE TROOPER

A MIRACLE FOR AN INDIANA STATE TROOPER

Today Sgt. Rich Kelly of the Lafayette Post life was spared today. He was sitting along side I-65 conducting a traffic stop when another semi-tractor pulling a flatbed ran over the top of his police car. Sgt. Kelly sustained a broken vertebrae but was able to exit his car,and use his cell telephone to call for help. The driver that struck him was going too fast and locked his brakes up thus losing control. The crash is still under investigation. When you look at the photos you realize only by the grace of God Sgt. Kelly life was spared.Rich and his wife have 4 young daughters.
It is hard to believe that Sgt.Kelly survived this crash and may get out of the hospital sometime today. He was in the car at the time of the crash. The driver he stopped was placed Out Of Service for violations and the driver that struck him was operating on poor brakes on the trailer,

It is common knowledge when NAFTA ( NORTH AMERICA FREE TRADE AGREEMENT ) was put into effect during Clinton's admin, the trucks that are allowed to free travel through the united states -- FROM MEXICO AND CANADA -- are not safety checked at the border, so MOSTLY the Mexican trucking company's send junk and the liberal attitude today about profiling -- a rash of junk trucks smashing up in the USA -- as this shows both trucks in accident were safety failed -- AND THEY DO NOT HAVE THE SAME INSURANCE COVERAGE YOU DO -- THEY HAUL HORSE **** THAN CALIFORNIA VEGGYS ya think -- E COLI ring a bell -- jz

Yeah, I've heard all that before. I just don't see anything in that article even partially related to NAFTA issues you described. NAFTA is the most republican, big business driven law the Clinton era gov't passed. It as un-Demcoratic/liberal as it gets.

I could tack on :Thanks Budweiser: if I thought the driver was drunk - except nothing in that article mentions drinking. So it would't make sense. So that is why I could not understand the connection.

I'm not talking as much about who voted for it, but the agreement itself. It is very big business friendly. A republican stronghold.

No politican cares what is good for all of us, just what helps them. Lefties & Righties.

yea, well there are tons of reasons for WHy i want to be a cop, and only a very few reasons why i wouldnt, one of them is wahts posted here; but again, this can happen to ANYONE, even someone who broke down ont he side of the road; in my opinion it be a terrible death/injury to be struck by a unaware driver; approaching on the passanger side is usually an option , yup
