ok... let me jump in... i think bubba means that if you pull an lt1 intake you can put a roots style blower on the longblock and its basically, an average blown sbc. but the LT1 is very different still, yes some parts swap, but heads are better than standard sbc(not hi-perf ones), ignition system is different, and other changes. yes its a SBC, but so is an LS1. the supercharged lt1 383s i have seen were centrifigal setups, not roots style. i didnt watch that vid posted so im not sure whatw as going on in that one. but even if you put a roots blower on an LT1 its still better ON AVERAGE than a standard SBC.... i think thats what was being said... who knows,... im going out soon and gotta get ready....lata

Theres no such thing as a Roots type blower for an LT1, and that goes for C4's (93-96), Caprices(93-9?) & F-bodies (93-97).

see thats what i meant...i just said it in a confusing way...its got a supercharger built by lingerfelter...but sence he died the company never really persued it...so its a ghost...its there but not really...now the lt1 has the distributor on the front as apposed to the rear so it has different cam set up...the heads are center bolt and flow better...but if u look at the cylinder specs its identical to a classic 350

WTF, any gen1 base SBC from 87 up had centerbolt heads. and i dont understand how the valve cover style makes the heads flow better but OK

and they havent made new stuff for lt1's in about 10 years. liginfelter died last year or something....
