LT1 Torque Spec For Head Bolts?

Ok so my chilton manual is telling me I should torque my head bolts down to 22 in. lbs. which doesn't make much sense to me, they definately need to be tighter than that.

Does anyone know what the torque specs are for head bolts. I know the seqeunce already.

bolts are arps, not sure if that makes a difference.

thanks.

,Nick
