Clutch finally going
My clutch started slipping 3 days ago , and its only getting worse. I estimate about a week left on it. it is the factory clutch on an 11 yr old z28 clutch. 85k on it so its not all me anyway paramus auto mal quoted me 1500 with flywheel machining and a loaner ride . my problem is this i cant leave the state to take it to JS (which was my 1st idea) as im on probation and my Po is a PiMA from hell. And quite frankly i dont trust any little shop with my car. Has anyone had a clutch install done anywhere in the north ..... i definately dont want a home install ... that way if something gets fouled up i can take it back and say ummm fix it . This is an Immediate crisis so any advice would be very much appreciated.

Yea, you could use AAA to get the car to Josh, just have to work something out to get it back into NJ for you to pick it up.
You could also talk to TTP, they shouldn't be very far from you and they know 4th gens inside and out.

no one is twisting your arm to let him use it ..
That 1500.00 price is a bit expensive, even though LT1 pull style clutches are so damn expensive.
A good competant shop can get it in and out with a one day turn around. It took me around 10 hours (including dinner and random beaks my first time I did mine). Then 2 hours quicker the next day when I had to redo it..

Well , ive left 4 messages at TTP about a clutch install/flywheel machine/few other minor things.... Never got a call back.. its been a week now so Im gonna have to go somewhere else. I was reading another thread with some one who had a similar problem. Is the shop closed or something? Sucks cause I dont wanna drop 1500 at a chevy dealer and i dont trust any old ****** shop with my car.

oh ok. I know a few people that live there also. There are a couple enterprises around here, and a rental place by the Moorestown Mall. Don't know if they are one way though.
