Original "my engine died" thread: http://www.fullthrottlev6.com/forums...ad.php?t=38908
off page 3:
Quote:
The thing that gets me about this is, there were no warnings. I was driving about 30mph, maybe 2500rpm, there was no rattling clicking, tapping or any other sound. I just went around the corner, the engine missed really hard maybe 3 times, i let off the gas, the engine died, and that was the end of it. I coasted to a stop and tried to restart the car...and nothing. No loud bang right before it happened.
Tomorrow supposed to be halfway decent so i'm going to start pulling accessories and the intakes off the car as well as drain the fluids. I'll see what i can find.

The only reason he broke it is because that's a factory crank that's been cut to make it a stroker. Not a new purpose-built stroker crank.

It's the easiest/cheapest way to get a stroker crank....take cheap stockers, grind 'em and sell em at a big profit. They advertise them as N/A only, but obviously they can't stand up to a strong N/A motor either.
