New Jeep Upgrades...

The smaller Jeep Cherokees don't come with a rear seat headrest. And, since my 4-year old son is already tall enough that his entire melon is above the top of the seat, I came up with this solution - '97 Grand Cherokee headrests, mounted in my original seat! I opened the cushion up, fabbed some brackets, and voila!

And, here's a pic of what's going in when the warm weather gets here -

Rear disc brakes!!! I scored a complete Dana 44A and the proportioning valve out of the same Grand Cherokee I got the headrests from. I'm gonna pilfer the calipers, lines, E-brake hardware, and backing plates for my "StreetJeep", then part the rest of the axle out.

Whatcha think??

Here's a pic of the bracket. I used copper strap, and wrapped around the seat frame, then secured it with 1/2" sheetmetal screws. Then I used HD stainless band clamps to secure the plastic locking mechanism to the seat frame.

As for the rear, I think it's a 3.55 open, but I can verify tomorrow.
