Island Dragway BBQ/Cruise Info and Roll Call

This Wednesday evening will be the first of many Wed afternoon BBQs at Island! The cost is $15 per person, race OR watch, and that includes food and sodas. They will be on the 1st and 3rd Wed of the month from May-August. Typically we will run 1 lane, but if there is a large enough crowd, we'll open both. Cars need to be muffled and driven in. Gates will open at 4, we will race from 4-sundown. The BBQ will continue til the last person leaves. It's a lot of fun, and in the spirit of BBQ, we DO allow alcohol (BYOB, to be consumed by people 21 and older only), but ONLY to be opened after the last car is down the track.

So, who's coming?

work > me.

Once I get one of the red things on the road, I'll take a day off and cruise out.

is there gonna be an actual cruise? or its just gonna be a meet race and eat thing? either way it shoul be fun one last question. i know you cant allow people to hot lap an try and get as you say a cheap test and tune, but you think we' be able to get like 2 passes in? and would we get a time slip as well?

yes, you'll be able to run as many times as you want. you will also get a time slip. and yes, bikes are welcome to run, providing they have all the safety equipment, including a kill switch tether if the bike doesn't come from the factory with a laydown switch.

Same here. Work owns me. But maybe I'll be able to make it out to one at some point.

Let me put it this way. Last time I went, I got in 8 runs, and then called it a night. I could've gone more

new best. 14.306 @ 99.53mph...previous best was 14.478 @ 95.82

only changes are cut the mufflers off, separated ignition wires, and took out the stereo from the back
