Official Rim Poll
Many of u know im looking for new rims. I think i have been searching through posts and looking for images for a little over a month now and after working some 140hrs the last two weeks Ill have some coin about to roll into my account thursday night for new rims and tires.
I simply cant decide but i have it narrowed down to a few and in my mind really after thinking about it all day again, i think down to one.
Option#1 Ruff racing 280's
Option#2 TT II's Polished
Option#3 TTM's Black
Option#4 TTM's Anthracite
The ruff's are nice and unique and im in love with the 3.5" lip on them. The downside is the BMW bolt pattern, but the vette guys love them and Im seeing more and more fbodies online with them. only 8.5 wide too
All the american racing rims are great, I love the TT II's. They have a deep almost staggered lip. The TTM's and nice too and I really tempted to get the Anthracite one as they may match my dark shadow gray body color. I afraid they might be to light in color though and look like i tried to color match and faild. Also if i go the american racing route I am thinking about slapping a 315's on the rear cause i can get a 10.5 or 11" rim. Love the badass wide tires from the rear. (I know its just a v6 but it will still look good as you come zooming past me for that split second in you lt1 or ls1, bastards)
Im leaning towards the TTM Anthracite but i want some input and much like the poll for the south meet last month..... the rim with the most votes might not get picked. Either way in about 2 weeks I hope to have some new shoes.

I love my ttms but i dont think the anthracite will match your paint the way you want it will be lighter almost a gold color so in that case id get some strip them and have them painted to match or just go with tt2's as polished goes with everything

some pics they look dark and other look really light

thats off their website but I guess in person they are different?
If i go the custom route and get them painted (id rather get the TT II's painted though) does anyone know a local jersey place that could do it?

avoid bmw bolt pattern like the plague. trust me on this. if you don't believe me, you will have the pleasure (sarcasm) of learning firsthand.

The Anthracite will fit your car perfectly. Similar colored wheels will look much better then black.

From those choices, I would spring for the TTIIs (can't believe I just said that) and get someone like HardcoreZ28 to paint them DSG for you.

I would go with the TTM's over a regular TT2 for the smooth dish/lip.

yea that'll work, better yet ill run two custom painted DSG on one side and two polished
yea that rim i posted is direct from them, but yes it is way too light in color. I think i am going with the TT II's. I love how the spokes curve more and they are deep, just in steps. 17x9.5/11 I am more than likely going to have the rims painted to match the car but i will have to save up alittle for that

I like the Anthracite's. I went the typical route though and got chrome ZR-1's. They are so cheap and look perfect on F-Bodies.

Best bet is to call American Racing. I'm pretty sure thats what a majority of the people did. I know UBG has 18" TT2's as well as BlackBird (Brian) You might be able to contact www.tomzwheels.com as well, thats where I got my C5 Z06's for an awesome deal, I'm pretty sure he carries them as well. 18's are going to only come in 18x9.5 & 18x10.5. I have yet to see any mass produced 18" wheel come in 18x11.

Just a little correction. The 18" TT2's come in 18x8 and 18x10. You will have to go with the maximum offset for the front and my rears only needed minor fender rolling but they clear the bumpstops by about a 1/4-1/2 inch. The wheels will need to be custom ordered so their isn't much of a deal on these but Tomzwheels did have the cheapest price around including lugs/stems. If you go with the 17's, there are much better deals on them and are quicker to get.
I would get them and have the center painted to match the car.
