Coming home from work on friday the camaro let me know where the new noise was coming from. Between exits 2 and 3 on the turnpike I lost od and she started to shudder real bad. Once I got off of the turnpike I dumped i the rest of the transfluid because I figured it couldn't hurt. After adding the fluid I went to continue my journey. New problem... now we like to rev up to 3k rpm and slam into gear so that it chips the tires in 1,2,3. As we come to the last stop sign I beg and plead with it to just make it home so that I don't have to have it towed again. It starts to move but not before it smokes that clutches so bad that I get some smoke in the cabin. I have a trans in the garage to put in but now that I have a new car I am really just don't want to change the transmission AGAIN!!!!
I found a 2001 corvette online which is now the new DD. It is a 6 speed so I am free of the 4L60E bs crap. What is really sad is that the camaro feels like it handles better and it would own the vette up until like 75. I miss the camaro but I just could not take anymore of the transmission bs. The only thing left to do is fix it and sell her.
