carburetor question
ive been starting the camaro lately and it just dies unless i give it gas. i hold it at about 1500 rpm for a minute and after that its completely fine. do the carb idling screws need to be messed with because the weather is getting cooler?

Adjust the choke.
If it runs fine at operating temp you don't want to throw off the idle air mixture just for warmup, that's what the choke does.

Can you get any instructions off their site? I know edel & holley have stuff online.
In this pic, round black thing lower right with 2 terminals is electric part of the choke that controls the choke (and can be adjusted), you can see a linkage going from that to the actual choke - the rectangular plate going across the primary barrels. A manual choke uses a cable to open & close the plate.

Yea after taking a look at his car at trucks it has no choke.
Get the idle mixture screws set properly dont mess with them after, as far as starting the car goes your going to have to warm it up like you have been man.

yeah man its not that big of a deal warming it up. i mean before i would rev it every now and then when first starting it, but if i let it sit at 1500 rpm for 30-45 seconds it sits pretty well without dieng

No choke on a DD in NJ? Hmm. You might not like that much the colder it gets.
