Anyone know of any good Haunted Houses or Hayrides in the Central NJ Area?

Does anyone know if there are any haunted things going on in the Somerset/Middlesex/Hunterdon counties? I've checked a few websites, but most things are either far south or far north. I tell you, Southern NJ people have it good for Halloween. I can't tell you how many haunted things they have. I am getting tired of going to the Haunted Mill in Clinton anymore. Prices are getting higher every year and I wasn't impressed by last year's performance. And Schaefers is for little kids I think.

This post may be helpful for a lot of people to see a lot of replies, assuming people on here are into Haunted houses and hayrides.

Frightfest at Six Flags isn't good? Or is it?

It seems like there are a ton of them in East Windsor, NJ and Bayville, Montvale, Cape May.

If anyone knows of any in the Somerset County area, please let me know.

How much does Six Flag's fright fest go for per person?

Thanks for the info. Man, back in the 1980s there used to be so many of them around Somerville, Middlesex, and even in my town of Bound Brook. It is a shame these things die out. I guess it is hard to get help nowadays running them.

I found this one.
Haunted Barn and Hayride Terror at Casola Farms
Route 79 North
Marlboro
732-946-8885
The Haunted Barn is a terrifying walk through the depths of hell where goons and goblins lurk in every corner just waiting for the next victim to come along! The Hayride of Terror is a terrifying hayride through the back woods of NJ where the Jersey Devil and other demons are waiting for you!

Anyone ever been to that one?

Field of Terror in East Windsor on Perrineville Road.

I am surprised Sororities and Fraternities never put haunted houses on or any college clubs. I am sure many local fire/rescue squard departments put them on, but they don't post anything on the internet about their's.

If anyone knows of any other ones, please let me know, I appreciate the help.

not worth it unless you want to go to six flags if that is the case go at opening and get your moneys worth.
There are some good ones down in the philly area I haven't been able to find to many with good ratings in the central area(i'm in the hamilton/trenton area)

Glad to hear the field of terror was great. I think that is the one I am going to tonight, assuming they do have it tonight. It is worth doing the hayride and the walk both or just the walk?

if you have the time, do both. the hayride is fun anyway. but the walk was best. do that last. Look out for "the big squeeze" and make one of your friends go first, unless you're pretty brave. I had to go through it first, you get the brunt of it when you do. you'll know what I'm talking about when you get there.

The Field of Terror one in East Windsor was awesome. Thanks PBodyGT87 for letting me know. My friends and I were very impressed and it was well worth the money. $20 for two of the three things, and $30 for all three. We did the haunted barn/house thing and the corn field terror thing. Can't believe the size of that corn. Close to 10 ft tall and the moon was out on a clear and comfortable night to add to the effect. Both things are very adult oriented and it literally took about 35-40 mins to walk through the corn maze thing. Both things also have this part where you walk through a collapsing wall that swallows you. It's so cool and weird.
No charge for parking, and there were barely any little kids there. Mostly an adult/teen crowd. Well worth the money and I'd recommend it to everyone. Although I didn't get to do the hayride, since most hayrides are the same.

My friend's friend also told me that the Corner of Chaos one in East Windsor is also a good one. East Windsor for the win this year.

Some of the people in line at the Field of Terror one last night told me that the Haunted Barn and Hayride Terror at Casola Farms is a real creepy one.
