NFL Passes Brady Rule

Well, it is now illegal to hit a QB below the skirt line, add this to not being allowed to touch them at bra level of above and I am starting to think it would be easier to just make their uniform an air tight bubble.

I understand that they are expensive to pay, but it is a collision based sport. How is anyone surprised to see damage done when these athletes of every growing size and strength hit each other?

If they wanna start passing rules to protect players, protect them logically and at all positions. Go back to making them wear full sets of pads, eliminate all of the grabbing, chopping, cutting, and swating on the O and D lines, and get back to teaching players to wrap up when they tackle instead of the flying head butt/body check tackle.

Something like what happened to Brady is not a new thing. Seems to me a few QB's have broken bones that way in the past, why is it different this time? Because of the name? The image? The endorsement deals?

That's like saying you can't check someone into the boards in a hockey game...

Thats pretty ridiculous. Its a contact sport, deal with it. Players that complain should stick to flag football.

If they don't want contact or expect a penalty for every contact they should be playing a talent-less sport like basketball.

EDIT: Typing owns me

Another great rule passed along with this is the "Wedge Rule". On kicks the return team can't put a wedge of more than two people in front of the return man. bahahahahahaha

Was this something that was causing such massive problems in the league that it absolutely had to be dealt with?

Every interview I saw with Brady he just said that it was a part of the game and coudl have happened to anyone. He never even hinted that he thought there was anything wrong or intentional about what happened that I heard.
