Porting TB (LS1) further...
Well the one I bought I actually did feel something but I wasnt impressed w/ the port work itself. I wanna port it a little more tommorow at work.. what ya guys reccomend a little dremel work then smooth it out w/ some light sand paper? Am I on the right track?

The main idea is to get rid of that ridge to smooth out the air. Going too much beyond that isn't really necessary unless you have some other mods to take advantage of it. And at that point you'd be better off with a bigger TB anyway. Yours looks about the same as mine. Is the throttle blade knife edged? That would be the only other thing worth doing.

looks like it's ported pretty well already. the hump is gone from what i can see. if you go too far on the bottom you'll go through and hit the little coolant reservoir under there.
knife edging the blade is kind of debatable. i don't think it really does much and it can lead to idle issues if you go a tad too far.
you could epoxy it, but a few people have had the epoxy chip off over time and then find it somewhere further down the intake.
best thing to do is half-shaft it if you haven't already. i did that and then even flattened out the other side. definitely makes a better path for airflow.
like this kinda:

just be careful you dont take too much out and put a hole in it. some parts of the TB are very thin! its aluminum so you could definately get a good shine once youre done sanding and start polishing it

Yea im gonna leave it as is...got it for 50 bucks used. Previous owner said it was supposedly "professionally done" . Not to sure about that but it should do the job mated to a nice intake.
