Eh, your stock heads/cam and a open Y is a whole lot louder than a cutout me thinks.

I "cruised" with a head/cam/sprayed LS1 yesterday and at WOT, he wasn't that much louder than me. I'll be at the circus meet on Saturday(yes, this time I will actually be to a meet) and you'll be able to hear it.

Ok, well LS1s are weak anyways, prob why they aren't loud.
Now onto the tech part of this. Can one have a stainless pipe welded to a non stainless pipe with any success?

Yes, that's how my cutout was welded in. I believe it can be mig or tig welded.

Ok, I guess I should look into that, and maybe a new muffler?
That clamp was tight as hell so I guess to much back pressure from an 'eh" muffler maybe?

I think you'd need a descent amount of back pressure to do that. Do you have sub frame connectors...coulda been body flex...

Got mounts, got SFCs.
And no, you keep your dirty magnaflow.
I was thinking a cutout since I really should have it welded up.

cut-out is the way to go. Magnaflow is too quiet<<----the reason my car has a cutout.

Yea, it may show.
Find me a nice bullet muffler and I may pull off the catback for a bit.
