Im getting an LS1 T/A in a about 2 months and wanted to know if traction control helped that much with the rain. My gf will be driving it too and don't want her to have a hard time with it.Thanks guys

Doesn't help much. Just keep your foot out of it while turning and you'll be good.

And not a word before this?! Since when?!
And traction control won't really help much. Since your girlfriend can drive a stick, I wouldn't think she would have that much trouble in rain anyway.

traction control worked pretty well for me in my z28 last year. all it does is put the brakes on and stops a spinout. the pedal gets an annoying feel during too. youll end up turning it off everytime you get in the car anyway

Traction control in these cars are pretty nice for being as simple as they are. One day on the way to work I decide to see how good it really works in a downpour....I'd hit it in 2nd gear at 50 and it pretty much kept the car straight. Very nice feature for bad weather....but if you know how to drive your car...you really don't need it.

Correct, it pulls timing, closes the throttle, and applies the rear brakes. It works pretty well IMO. I think its a nice feature to have and its something I plan on keeping on the car.
