creepy roads in nj

ok so my cousin calls them 'bone roads'...roads with absolutely nothing on them, in most cases not even street lights. i figured, what would be so fun driving down roads with nothing on them blah blah..

turns out its kind of a little thrill. i took a drive down a road in my town called canal road..its nothing but a road by the canal, woods on both sides, its like you are surrounded in the woods and there is just blackness ahead of you. driving it at 20 mph on a foggy night while listening to tool kind of trips you out. also its a cheap date might i add, the girl loved it.

but does anyone have any road like this they like to travel on? or any creepy roads in general. i tried clinton road and that sucked ass..

Any road in NW jersey or down in the Pine Barrens.

NW jersey = forest, a few houses, and mad twisty/hilly roads. A helluva lot of fun, a bunch of us had a cruise last fall and loved it.

Pine Barrens = middle of nowhere, pine trees as far as the eye can see, and straight for miles at a time.

Theres a road that goes through Bass River State Park that I cut through to get to Bandit88's house down in the Pine Barrens. For a few miles, no lights, no houses, little to no traffic. Only thing to worry about is Deer and the Jersey Devil.

You must vist the infamous Clinton Road up off rt. 23 in west milford, runs right next to a resevoir kinda quiet sometimes you see/hear weird things

Or

Peace Valley Road pretty much a straight line up off 287 somewheres, again no lights woods all around, weird things lying around like buckets, chairs, etc

Or

Shades of Death Road, the best outa these three a few straight aways here and there in the middle of the woods, cool curves an what not really in the middle of like farmland up off rt 80 in andover

yea ive got more fun roads

Bah, my exhaust prob more scary sounding than anything else out there... that and the fumes certainly don't help...

Never been one to find roads to try and get creeped out on... but driving through the pine barrens at night can be daunting.

Theres a road around here we take to get to sea isle city...its Route 666. It isn't very long, a couple miles, but I don't think theres any street lights, even though theres a few houses on it, and I believe "Estell Manor School" is on it. Very creepy to ride at night.

I saw a pile of bones on the side of the road sticking out of a burlap bag one day so we stopped...I thought it was really going to be a dead body...but somebody dumped a deer body in a bag on the side of the road. Who does that?

It's actually just inside TN, and there are so many cops on it that it's pretty much impossible to travel over 30-35. My boss did it a few years ago on his Harley.

Over the weekend I actually walked down Canal road. Since there were too many bugs on the canal path.
