a bumblebee camaro. yep, that's right, a used camaro. time for me to dust off the old check book, blow the moths out of the wallet and stop in there to see just how much they want for it. i'm hoping it's a v8, 'cause it would break my heart (and any shot at a deal) if it wasn't. i'm guessing it's a bumblebee, as i just saw it in passing... it's yellow with black stripes. so, if anyone has been there recently can give me any tips on the car, i would appreciate it. i'll make it there sometime before the end of the week.
no more excuses.

yea, I saw it over the weekend. Definitely looks nice as hell, but $30k for a v6 and you don't even get to say you were the original owner. Most I'd pay for it is like ~24k.

Geez, Reedman had a 1SS for sticker price of $31,040 about a month ago. Why would anyone pay more than sticker if dealers are selling them for that?

yeah, it wasn't "traded" in, it was bid for on the auction block after the original owner didn't make his payments.
it is rather quick, though. i mean, figure they repo'd it after 3 months and then they give you an option to pick it up for the full amount owed before it hits the block (usually 30 days) and then it hits the block. dealers will then bid on it, and transport it to the dealership. i figure 5 months max, and i don't think (unless you ordered one) that they were on the new dealer lots back then...
maybe my math is screwed. in any event, they must be crazy if they think ANYONE is going to pay new car price for a used car. they must be up high for plenty of room to negotiate, which Saturn dealers aren't supposed to do.

i just made a post about this. Classic Chevrolet in moorestown has about ten used camaros marked up to rediculous prices. One of them is a 1LT v6 with 9400mi for 35k. They also have a pretty banged up SS for 40something.
