? for DL application 'borrowers'

looking for a way to scan DL'ed applications for bugs, downloaders, spyware, ect. I run peer garidan, spy bot and run Norton on the file when the DL is complete.

Interested in this for my own sake and also, if I pass a program to a friend, I don;t want to give them harmful software.

Haven't used Norton in years, but avast and spy bot (along with a little common sense) has kept me virus free for quite a while now
