Sold my 4th gen and bought a 3rd gen
Yup...sold my 2001 SOM WS6....but I replaced it with a 1989 TTA (mildly modified). More PICS here. Might actually try to make a meet when they come up north.

Yeah, it was nice. Loved the color. I just wanted something fast. Hee hee, sorry, had to do it. I have a soft spot for the LC2 motor and missed my Grand National but loved the ride of the F-body. This is the best of both! ...and yeah, it would blow the doors off my stock LS1 M6!
I'll try to do Flemington. I've never been to that cruise. I like to hit Fudds in Bridgewater on Tuesdays.

Tough choice but I think I'll go with SmokesV8s. It'll piss off more people and that's what my tags are gonna read.

Congrats those are awesome cars. My brother worked on one for his friend, it has something like 20k miles on it. In a word it is SICK, he is in the 10's, not exactly sure what is done to it.

Well, I've never rn down the 1/4 mile so I can't say confidently. It should be an easy 11 second car. This car will probably see some 1/4 action eventually just so I know.
Thanks for the name change Wild Billy!!

I bought one brand new in 1989 and out of the box it ran 13.50@ 101 mph. With some bolt-on mods it ran a best of 12.18 @ 115 mph on street Gatorbacks. That's about 450 hp considering the weight. With slicks and a dump tube there were guys running 11.8. Love the sleeper affect that these cars were. If you want to put on GTA badges you'll mess up a LOT of cars. If you need any information on mods, just PM me.

Yeah it'll go. It has a PTE51 turbo, 3" downpipe with dump, meth injection and a built trans. It scoots along pretty well. I'm gonna get a few things squared away before doing any further mods, but when I do it will probably be suspension stuff.

Thanks again guys. The car currently has 87,xxx miles on it but does NOT show it, inside or out. I sold my WS6 for $11.5...this was pretty close to an even swap.

I thought I was lucky by getting my TTA from Jim Salerno Pontiac for ONLY list (around $31,000). The dealer had to pay $7,900 up front for the conversation. My main problem was oil leaks. I had a manual boost control system installed and was running 20 lbs. of boost. I replaced the rear main seal 3 times and the oil pan gasket. Even had breathers that were recommended by Buick in the valve covers to help relieve the pressure. When I sold the car I showed the new owner where the boost control was and not to touch it. Several weeks later my tuner Jim DelAsandro calls me up (from Cherry Hill) and tells me the car was on a flat bed with a blowen head gasket. The knob was set at 3 O'clock for the 20 lbs. of boost, but the dial was now a 9 O'clock which was about 30 lbs. when it blew. Moron though that if 20 was good, 30 HAD to be faster. LOL with the car. I see it had the decals installed, just like I had on mine. The only thing I missed was that V/8 sound out the exhaust, but Motor Trend had an article that said at 169 mph, it was the 2nd fastest car they had even tested. With the mods and fuel injectors, close to 200 mph could have been hit.
