Saturn SKY Redline Intercooler swap

I didn't have time to post this up in September, but now i do.

I swapped out my stock IC for a Dejon one. With increased boost levels, other owners reported problems with the oem IC "mushrooming" and leaking.
This new one has 250% the capacity and said to flow way better. I also added a CAI a few days prior, and with the IC I installed 16Ga aluminum hard IC piping to prevent expansion under boost. Here are pics It was a pretty easy swap.

and then a carbon fiber rear emblem... lol

In the summer i'm getting the 20G Mitsu Turbo swap setup.

Right before i did the intercooler, I also had the GM Stage II turbo tune upgrade done. Thats said to bring the factory HP rating from 260-290hp, and Tq from 260 to 325. And a few days later I installed the catback Magnaflow 3" exhaust. So as of now i probably have in the range of at least 315hp/340tq. give or take.

With the exhaust, magnaflow sells a kit for the Redline SKY($725) and one for the GXP solstice($525). I looked over the 2 kits online and only difference i could see were the tips. the sky kit had like 2" dual tips on each side, and the solstice on had large 4" single tips on each side. I wanted to use my stock rectangular tips which fit the cutouts anyway, so i ordered the GXP solstice version. Thank you Whiplash Performance
The install took maybe 20 min if that, and the large round tips actually looked so good, i decided not to use the cheap looking stock ones after all. I just need to do some minor adjustments to finish centering the tips and such, But they fit the rear valance very well. Even the service tech at Saturn loved them. Ill post those pics next week.

MAAAAAAAAAAN I love that car. Its a shame that it will disappear into the pages of GM's history as one of the cool cars that just didnt work out.
