I saw Predators today

I went to the noon showing today.

Now, I'm a big Aliens, Predator, and AVP fan - I have all the movies and all the books and I'm a hard core sci-fi nerd so I REALLY enjoyed it.

I would give it an 8 or 9 out of 10.

Even though the movie is close to 2 hours it went by REALLY quickly. Great action. Good dose of Predators. I was shocked at how well Adrian Brody did - I didn't see him as an action guy. Lawrence Fishburn was funny. I was happy to see it was not a watered down PG-13 movie - it deserved an R rating and lived up to the rating.

I don't know how well most non sci-fi/ nerd people will like the movie... but I still think they will enjoy it.

I would still reccomend it.

Spoiler-----

I was very happy to see they made a reference to Dutch from Predator 1 - I really was hoping that they would have CGI'ed Arnold in like they did at the end of T4..... but it wasn't done. I am really hopeful that they make a sequal as the ending is set up for a prequal.

Did you hurt yourself?

Glad you enjoyed it, you need some happy time after all your health issues.

I actally just got back from seeing it myself. It was fun to watch. I'm not as much into the alien and predator thing, but Predator I has always been a movie I liked. I think this movie lived up to that. There's one scene at the end (trying not to give too much away) where the computer graphics didn't look all that great, but that's my only complaint. In the end, I walked out wondering what was going to happen to the main characters after the ending of the movie

HA, no, he didn't hurt himself. However, since he can't drive yet, I had to drive him to the theater, and I went to the mall. They were doing a blood drive, and I thought it would be a good way to kill some time before I had to go pick him up. He's calling me wondering where the hell I am and I'm still in the mall since, well, I passed out. Luckily I was still sitting there eating some snacks and drinking juice when it happened, but it sucked.

I think maybe it's my body getting ready to give him pay back for the past 2 years?!

It was a real good movie. It's a shame the AVP movies tainted many of you like they did. I am an avid Aliens and Predators fan since childhood and even I didn't think much of the AVP movies. I thought AVP 2 was decent at best. The franchises work a lot better when they are separate and on their own. The movie Aliens paved the way for most things like Exo-Squad, Halo, Avatar, and much more.
If you like movies like the A-Team, Iron Man, and your typical all around action entertaining movies, then you owe it to yourself to check this movie out. Lots of action from start to finish. The only thing it was missing, like most action flicks of today, are the one liners. No one can deliver a one liner like Arnold can.

I don't have a reason to push this movie. But this is one of those occassions where most people are iffy and not interested, and they are really missing out on an all around good action movie.
