Maybe its just the reaction to the ejection seat but he looks awful limp in the first picture. Maybe he was unconscious? Very scary.

they are supposed to tuck to keep their helmet from hitting the canopy... we are talking fractions of seconds, so he probably is still regaining his bearings...
