iPod = OBDII scanner?
Anybody else see this product? You pay about $100 for the OBDII connector to iPod and the apps are free. Seems pretty legit as a cheap scan tool seeing alot of people have ipod/iphone/ipads these days.

there is actually a bluetooth adapter you can buy to plug into the obdII port of your car and then go to the app store on either an iphone or android phone. Much easier, and no wires. The adapter only cost about $50. http://www.dealextreme.com/p/elm327-...r-dongle-16921

I think most of these only scan SAE pids(which are very limited not only in amount of also in frames per second).
A good scanner will scan enhanced pids(also referred to as DMA's or MPID's) which will give MUCH faster frame rates and more detailed information ie knock retard, commanded afr,etc are enhanced pids, without those you are pretty much limited to things like RPM, MPH, etc which most you can see on your dash

i havent seen that exact one, but i have seen others similar. It was tested, and then the car on a dyno, and as far as horsepower, apparently at worst its about 7% off.
i'm looking to get it when i get a new ipod.
if they are inaccurate (which they may be now) this could be the start of a whole new area for computers and car tuners.
