Which table to adjust for richness during accel?

93 LT1 = supercharged, 2 BAR map, Speed density

Have the VE tables dialed in, but notice when I accel, even a 5-10% throttle change the A/F goes way rich, 9's to mid 10s A/F.

Question 1) What should the A/F target be? 9.x seems aweful rich to me?

Question 2) Which Pump Shot table do I change, PS vrs MAP or PS vrs TP?

1) Build it

I'm sure you've read over injuneer's tuning tips but have you seen http://www.lt1pcmtuning.com/tips/?

Aren't the tables based on speed and rpm? I'm sorry but I haven't gotten into tuning yet. 9 is wayyy too rich too, I would try to atleast get into the 12's for part throttle depending on the timing.

Thanks,

I read allot, even bought a few books, but I don't see any targerted A/F to target for accel, most just reference RPM and WOT.

Cruising / constant RPM is fine. running 14.5-14.8 AF with BL and LTs right where I need them. Its when I change throttle postion it goes so rich, then once RPMs level out the AF corrects, so I'm not thinking VE table, more TP~RMP or PS, because the A/F meter is showing it's acting like the pump shot is too much.

Delta TPS vs MAP Err wait thats for 90-92 SD..

93 says on my da3.xdf for Tunerpro..

Acell Enrich vs. Diff TPS

and

Acell Enrich vs Coolant Temp

Target AFR with your SC car I'd shoot for 11.8-12.0

Well, so far it hasn't, but I'l still going easy breaking in the new engine. Tune is good to about 4Gs, then starts going a bit lean, I think it's just minor, at about 1/2 throttle and boost building I was seeing around 14.5- 15 so I backed off. but not nuts like before where it was swinging from 10:1 to 17:1. Then again, I haven't gone WOT.

Actually I had to send my laptop in for repair so I'm just now getting to adjusting the tune. I'll keep you posted for sure.

Quick update. Well, getting the last few cells dialed in is a very time consuming process!!!

Been getting the tune all dialed in, still need a few tweaks in the 3,000-4,000 RPMs at different throtle postions, nothing aweful, just slightly off. But having to pull and reflash the chip every time is such a pain@

Did The higher PRM pulls at the track, wasn't planning to push it hard, but since the tune was looking so good and the boss was busting my butt that his challenger SRT8 with the magna charger would kick my butt and he wants a race, I just had to to run it up the PRMs! Of course, I started getting belt slip so 6-7 Lbs was all I could manage so I was short shifting @ 5600.

Wideband was reading 12.0-12.2 So without belt slip I think I'll right where I want it. MPH was way off, only trapping 117MPH, about even with the challenger, I've gone 124MPH before when the tune was too rich. I'd like to see trap speed in the 127-128 range.

No Knock, right/left looks good and BLs are good. I've been cruising around and I almost forgot how much fun the car is, it's been a loooong time!

Now trying to decide which rear get in it? Leaning towards an S+W 9"

S60. Ask Josh about jefs 95 Z28 with one. Quiet holds a **** load of power. I'm considering one for the vert with 3.73s.

I have the 10-12 rib belt setup (can't remember) with the 15lb pulleys, but wth my CI and 3 core front mount the little P600B can only make the gauge go to 10Lbs. Goal is to get a bigger unit and shoot for 10.0s Of course, firts thing needed is a better rear.
