WTF GM
This just came into my work. And upon first appearance, it looks like a factory GM part. But whats up with the Mitsubisi sensor.

Yep. Mitsubishi makes some components. I believe the Mitsu is the good one, too.

I never paid attention when I swapped to the opti2. Just struck me as weird.

Mitsubishi sensor is arguable the best sensor for the opti. They don't make them anymore either so if the sensor is good, save it and rebuild the unit.

I would def keep it, but it has to go back to the manufacturer as a core. Its property of napa..unless i could just pull the sensor off it...Im assuming the sensor is the same from opti 1 to opti 2?
EDIT: can i verify if the sensor works by testing with a DMM as it sit in my hand now or does there need to have voltage applied to it?

It needs 5 volts to it. If it was a low or hi res failure code, its bad. If you need a core, oh well. Maybe you can get a broken one off of a forum? Hahaha
I'm sure that rebuilt will go bad soon enough anyways

Oh got ya. No I dont need one. I was just wondering, figured it would be good to have extra laying around. Mines been going strong since '98 when my dad and I swapped in the opti2.
