Anyone on here watch the Venture Brothers Cartoon?

I just figured I'd ask those who either watch Adult Swim or cartoon network.
It is a really funny show. Very well written and I think superior to Family Guy and Futurama.
It is currently on its third season. A fourth has been greenlit.

For those that like adult theme oriented cartoons that poke fun at things we all grew up with or pop culture, I highly recommend anyone to watch this show. The show is basically about failure and the comedy still is subtle, and has a good story arc.

You can watch the most recent episode that will air on this Sunday online at www.adultswim.com and then click on the Venture Brothers cartoon labeled "The Lepidopterists"

The show smartly spoofs shows like GI Joe and Voltron, and it has even spoofed music like Led Zepplin, Iggy Pop, and Prodigy's "Firestarter".

I was just curious if anyone watches the show on here. And for those that don't, I think you would really like it if you give it a chance. It is smarter humor than Family Guy or the Simpsons.

One of the main characters Brock Samson, is an ultimate badass who drives a 69 Charger and likes classic rock. Good stuff.

I dunno about comparing it to FG or Futurama, I think it's a different type of show.

Good stuff though. Brock Samson rules.

A clip of the show spoofing GI Joe. Patrick Warburton does Brock's voice. The same guy that does Joe Swanson's voice in Family Guy.

This clip spoofs Duran Duran's video Hungry like a wolf.

This clip spoofs a combo of Indiana Jones, Magnum P.I. and some asian cartoon.

Just thought I'd share something funny with you guys.

Well I meam I think its a better written and better put together show than Futurama and Family Guy. I mean to each his or her own. I just think Family Guy episodes can be all over the place and sometimes make ridiculous jokes that are over the top. Not to say I don't like FG, but I just think this show is better thoughtout, thats all.

Both are good shows. Like Billy said, too different to compare.

Glad to see that some watch the show. I really hope it gains a stronger following as time goes on. I realize it will never become as big as other cartoon shows because it is only shown once a week at 11:30 PM, but hopefully after they reach a certain point with making episodes, they can have the show on syndication.

Does anyone watch the show on a frequent basis?

Venture Bros. is funny as hell. It's a total bust on Johnny Quest, James Bond, and The Six Million Dollar Man. I'm also a Family Guy fan and a Futurama nut! Bender rules!!!! Venture Bros follows a straight line plot like the shows it parodies, F.G. and Futurama can make jokes that are far reaching and seemingly non-sensical because of the brilliance of the writers.

Everything on adult swim is awesome. My personal favorite is robot chicken, and squidbillies has its episodes.

I was at the race at Pocono this weekend with a guy whose son is an animator for VB. What are the odds. I immediately thought of this thread LOL.

Thats awesome. That is a weird coincidence. I would have guessed everyone that did that show would have came from the west coast or something.

Did anyone watch the most recent episode?

O.S.I. Instructor: Well, let's see here, Mr. Samson. On the driving portion, you totalled every car but the one you were driving; on the pistol range, you refused to use a gun. And, uh, oh. Hah! Yeah, here's my favorite: on the written, you drew a little guy with wings from the Led Zeppelin records.
Brock: Icarus. So uh... what are you trying to tell me here, little man? That you don't like Zep?

I figured the guy you met would have been from Cali. That is awesome though. How'd you even get on the subject of the show?

We were in Wal-Mart picking up cable extensions for our NASCAR scanner and we walked past the movie section. He mentioned that his son is an animator, and off we went.

Out of the archives.

New season started Sunday after a 3 year hiatus. First episode was great, IMO.
