Tuner
Looking to get a tune on a 2010 Camaro and a 2002 Camaro. I've used Blackbear for trucks in the past but not sure they are the best for these cars. Would rather a tune in person than a hand held tuner. Who would you use in the tri state area?

Shops get the thumbs up. At Waterfest last week they had a whole section devoted to tuning your ride - even saw a dyno or two.

Gonna try East Coast. Putting an American Racing Header kit in the 2010 this week and then going to take it. I called a few places (including Tune Time). I either got an answer of "no one is here to answer that question" or "let me take your phone number and call you back". No one did except ECS and that's mainly because I was in contact with them via another forum. These "new" car shops must be making a ton of money. I will post and see how it goes.

Get HPTuners and do it yourself. For a little more than the cost of one dyno tune you can do it yourself as many times as you want.
And no, it's not hard. I am about the least digital person on the planet and I managed to tune my 99Z28 myself without any problems.

From what I understand most hand held tuners do not tune the trans and engine on newer cars/trucks.

It's not a handheld. HPTuners is software for your laptop. Plug into the diagnostic port and you have all the same access that any shop that does tuning can offer. It's actually the software a lot of shops use. www.HPTuners.com

Gotcha, I think on this particular car I will go with a professional tune. I really don't have time to mess with it and they are going to give me a decent deal on 2 tunes and 1 with a dyno. If I do get into the newer cars I may try something on my own in the future. Looking for a 02 ss auto now that I can play around with.

East Coast Supercharging did the 2010 Camaro and our 2013 work truck. (2010)We did ARH headers, exhaust, and it already had cold air intake. What a difference! Really nice shop and great people to deal with

They did my buddies "underpressurews6" and he had nothing but good things to say and from what he was telling me the car was kicking ass at the slip stream event this past summer
Hard to find a reputable, trustworthy place. I have a mini panic attack any time I have to hand over my keys

Blackbear did my wife's Tahoe and it was good also. I didn't think Blackbear did a lot of performance stuff so I didn't want them doing the Camaro. My truck didn't really get a performance tune, just clean up the shifts and improving the driving qualities. The Camaro is my Dad's and he got the medium tune. I think it was 450 tq and 374hp at rears wheels @6600 rpm. here is a link:
