No offense to you and your v6, but it isn't bracket racing. IIRC, each contestant gets 3 runs, and they take the average of the three ETs to determine the winner. I think the average last year was in the mid 9's.

there's no reason why he couldn't get his v6 into the 9s... with about $25k worth of work, he'd be all over it.

they say on in teh article thqat any cars running 10's or better will be considered basically. last year the winner averaged 9.14, and he did not have the fastest runs, he was consistant where as everyone else that was in the very low 9's ran into problems on a run and blew the average.
i know that i am not likely to have enough car to consider winning, but i would think a 346cid car with a single turbo running mid to low 9's with a bolt on suspension and 275/60 drag radials would impress a few people. hopefully enough to get me a feature in a magazine
i think james could have a shot at making it in if we get to work on his car asap. i know there is enough weight in it to knock off a few tenths, add to that a real set of gears and some tuning for the nitrous and he could get into the 10 with it very easily. i am sure he would get some extra looks since he would prolly be the only guy there with a V6 that it didn't say "grand national" on the side of the car. hehe
james, if you are serious, shoot me a PM. i have a few tricks up my sleeve we could use on your car

My friend Tommy did that last year w/ his 97 C5. He was called "the most legit 11 sec car" and "the most daily driveable." He had a lot of fun with it.

Yes he is quite a character, and they hit it on the head when they said that he isnt your typical Vette owner.

lets get your **** ready then dude step 1: unhack job all of james previous work. step 2: if there is enough time left submit an application to participate. lol
i see no reason why we can't get your car into teh 10's by the early part os the season. a few little tweask here and there is all it will take. don't really think you need anything major or expensive. your combo is solid, mostly at least. we can tweak it into a few more magazines i bet

james, check your pm's
