f-body not running club sign in
since June 2004 here. In the midst of an engine swap. New engine is all done, but i still need a ton of odds and ends before it's in the car and running again.
In case anyone is interested, the car is an 87 iroc - originally a 350tpi auto car, but the last combo was the stock engine with a paxton blower and a 94 T56 trans. The new engine is a roller 355 4 bolt block, all forged bottom end, ported 2.05 bowtie 2 heads, custom grind blower roller cam, holley stealth ram with accel dfi 6 harness efi setup, paxton supercharger, and a 97 T56 for the transmission 8)
It will be running before the one year anniversary, I guarantee that much. no promises beyond that

I'm here but my car runs! It just has minor projects that never end. Right now the only thing keeping it off the road is the steering shaft. Damn shaft had too much play in it so I'm building my own from astro-van steering shafts. It's almost all together, just needs some spot welding and some paint. Then the steering box is getting replaced with one that doesn't have so much slop in it.
Unlike Tim my car could drive in an emergency, I just choose not too

both of them run, but one is being stored for the winter and the other is awaiting its procrastinating owner to complete the new motor for her.

Mines been down for maybe a couple months, started an intake swap and pretty much lost interest in the middle of it cause it got cold. Probably only a few hours of work left to get it running tho.

Check in:
Chevelle is hibernating for now, waiting for the top to go on, and the interior to be finished. Needs to get ready for the Goodguys meet in Hershey next spring.
Camaro is about to come off the road for a while for some overdue work that needs to be done, and some modifications. Brakes, Oil change, Cold Air Induction, headers, 3:73's, computer tune and as of today a new trans mount that I just demolished!

Been off the road since I brought her home on June 26, 2003. She runs, but no steering and no brakes. A few little projects that really need to get done are the only things keeping her off the road.

My car has been down for the better part of 2 years. I just got it running AGAIN yesterday, we'll see how long that lasts.
As we're breaking in the new cam last night I say to my dad "wow its running great and nothings leaking for once!" and he goes "you'll be sure to fix that..."

Well, my 69 Z28 has been off the road since the day it was delivered back in Jan 2000! So we're going on 5 years next month. And an odd coincidence that my bank account has had no money in it since Jan 2000...

as of now all my f bodies run, (2 are driveable, 1 has no rad, 1 has a blown head gasket, my other one i dunno its still in Mass.) as for other cars... my 1 bronco is dead(engine looks like a burnt marshmallow, the other bronco has a bad head gasket, bad starter and melted starter solenoid. the vette ran a few times but needs plugs and wires and the fuel system finished. the eclipse runs with a battery but needs a tranny which is i have in my garage... so for the most part my vehicles run, lol.
but once i get enough cash for my engine swap, the SS will probably be off the road for a few months while the work gets done.

Runs.. yeah, I can start it up now, tomorrow, anyday of the week! Drives down the road legally, no .
I'm a perfectionist that's been cursed with a car that needs a lot of perfecting.
This Friday I want to take the car down to your shop for the estimate. Crossing fingers that everything will go smoothly and no cops try pulling me over. If they do I'll just tell them I'm on my way over to inspection .

It has been nearly 11 months since i stopped driving the car regularly, and 8 that i've stopped all together. The new engine will be put into the car within the next couple weeks, and after that it should be running.
So i guess that means in a lil less than a month till it'll be 100% ready for the road.
