well it all depends on where ur located, I'm from north jersey. Â*hawthorne chevrolet is great i love them there, Â*DO NOT go to D&C in westwood NJ or FISHER in bergenfeild NJ. Â*they both suck and screwed me over, but hawthorne was excellent. Â*to bad my extended warrenty towed my car out of there and back to d&c who then told me it wasnt covered where as hawthorne said it was poorworkmanship by d&c in the first place and hawthorne was set to replace the whole rear end...lol sorry for ranting. Â*general motors protection plan was good to me with my extended warranty. they didnt care about my mods and still paid for work

oh and good luck with the piston slap, i had it since 2k miles, d&c said they couldnt hear it, i was there with them they must have been deaf, aslo they told me 1 qt of oil per 1000 miles is normal..BS! oh well i sucked it up and gave up, engine is still running pretty good now at 58k miles, but im getting ready to swap in a blown, bored and stroked 6.0L

I called up Kemper pontiac in bridgewater since the summit dealership i heard was crapy...hope they don't give me crap about my new exhaust I probably won't get anything for the piston slap but i just want it on record that i brought it in complaining about the problem hehe. If that place doesn't work out i'll call up your place thanks for the info.

first thing is if they try to avoid doing any warranty work based on your mods it is up to them to actually prove that teh mods are teh cause of the defect or damage.
also, the piston slap thing is considered "normal" by gm at this point. it happens for no apparent reason in a lot fo '00 and up cars. i doubt you will make any progress with that.
i do suggest giving teh car a good bath before you go to any dealershiop, including the wheel wells. if there is a ton of rubber there they can claim abuse to try to circumvent service. they will lose eventually, but it jsut creates a headache for you.

I've dealt with Kemper before in the past for service and parts... they were always kind and knowledgeable to me. They actually treated me the way a customer should be treated.
