SS Spoiler

The exterior of my car is complete now. Spoiler is from thespoilercompany on ebay. They also painted it for me for an extra 50, so 220 shipped and in about a week i had it. Fits perfect. Highly recomend. Lights have one coat of VHT, took the edge off the bright red stock look. the pass side light has a dimple if u look at it so if anyone has a spare pass side light let me know

better shot of the 315's

For those who are interrested I now have an extra SS spoiler almost exactly like this one but has the smaller 3rd light (different ebay company). Its painted in the dark shadow gray cx/m7039. Interrested PM me

Nice, mine just showed up on Tursday from the same company. Mine has a little fitment issue on the passenger side, any issues with yours? I waited two weeks for mine from the day I ordered it to the day it showed up

I had originally got one(long time ago) when the car was black and i wasnt really sure what i was going to do with the car. One weekend i painted the spoiler myself and it came out really good for my first time. ended up buying an ss hood and the mods just keep coming. Painting the entire car DSG, two diff sets of rims, interior, rear end, susp mods etc.

After the first coat the spoiler had a small haze in two areas, prob from my paint underneath. My paint guy said hed slap another coat on it, weeks went by, then months, unanswered phone calls and a few trips down to the shop to see why it wasnt completed. Got every excuse in the book. I finally got the new one(i like it better because of the factory size light and fits better) and he calls to say after another coat it came out great.

So i have two now. Im not mad really cause I love the new one and the small light would have pissed me off. If anyone wants the other one just pm me and im sure we can work somehting out.

I ordered it last wednesday and got it Thursday this week. Did they paint yours?
As for the fit I took off the pads on the sides (left the one on the pillars though) I couldnt get the threads started with the pads on there. Fits great now. I have read of other on other boards doing the same to get it to fit.

Yea they painted mine. I ordered it on July 21st and didn't get it until the 7th. Everyone over on LS1tech ordered a lot around the time I did and I think he may of had to wait to get another shipment of spoilers in before mine went out.

The 99 I stripped had the same issue - bulbs heated it up from covers.

yep. the covers touch it on that one spot too, so it gets pushed in a bit every time it gets to the right temp

After hearing about the foam I decided to go out in the garage and mess with the spoiler. I don't mean to thread hijack, but even removing the foam pads I still have fitment issues. Can't complain for $220 shipped though.

I've had major fitments issues with a cheap SS Spoiler I picked up years ago. Most of the after markets fit horribly and require a lot of work underneath.

Spoiler looks great USP, I think they really tie in the back of 4th gens. The stock spoiler leaves a lot to desire, and it sometimes looks like it just droops off.

Cuz when u apply the brakes, the taillights heats up... and with the covers being so tight, the cover starts to form itself into the taillight.

Thanks, the 315's are sumo's and are considered a "skinny" 315 so it wasnt any problem. My 275 goodyears upfront arent much smaller in comparison. No need to roll the fenders.

Had some slight issues but when Josh (jsperformance) put the new rear end in i also had him install RCA's and more importatly an Adj Panhard rod to center the rear. Josh also took a rubber hammer to the insides of the wheel wells as i had some slight rubbing, but nothing since.

He has the red/white taillights... not the tri-color LS1 style.

NJtorque - the pass. side light at one time or another had a blackout cover on it and the bulb burnt the taillight and there is a 2''x2'' concave part because of it. If u look closely at the pic u can see it

good find, they are all over ebay for even cheaper some times. I just haven't gotten around to doing it, cash flow problems
