Today's my d-day
So that ticket I got for careless diving in my accident... today at 4 PM I go to court in Bergenfield for it. Because my license was on 1 year probation since October (4 points = DMV class, 3 points taken away and 1 year probation) I'm looking at, if I get any points, 3 month suspension plus fine. Trying to get it reduced to no points and/or reduced suspension. I told my lawyer (dad's Cablevision benefits plan saves my ass) that I wanted to take summer courses and also that my job is valet parking, just for some reasons whatever.. Hopefuly he'll do his thing with the prosecuter to get me some sort of deal... I'm hoping and praying... and to top it all off, court is at 4, and I have a concert at school for which call time is 6:30... I'll just get into my tux before court I guess and look really overdressed lol.

Goodluck dude. Lets just hope that this driving class, they have phone books to put on the seat so that you can see out of the front.

99% of the time they will haggle a deal with you. All they really want is a nice fine for the taxpayers.

you think the taxpayers ever get to see a dime of the money that comes in through the courts? they justify just about anything to keep that money. hell, they don't even like to divvy it up so the state gets their cut, they'd rather merge the ticket into all municipal infractions to keep the money there...
