Time to get my new beater

Good lord..... I leased the E for 13 months, I picked it up late June/ early July so renewal should be around late July/ early august.
Work sent me an email telling me to put an order in for a new car if I want one. Typical lead time is 3 months for new car.... and they sent me this now?!?!?!?!? Way early!

So... what to get.....
I'm sticking w/ a V6 and auto.
RWD is fine.... in NJ I just can't justify a 4 matic just yet.....

Currently have a 2006 E350
Sunroof
Harmon Kardon logic 7 440 watt system
6 disc CD changer
Heated seats.

I'm looking at:
C350 sport sedan
CLK350 sport
E350 sedan

I think this time around I want fun factor... my E class is fine, decent power but mushy handling (no sport package).

0-60
C350 6.1 seconds
CLK350 6.4 seconds
E350 6.5 seconds

A couple weeks ago I had an 06 C230 sport sedan, it handles pretty damn good (rides hard) but has no power, the C350 has the handling and power.... but it is small.

CLK350 has the handling and power (not as good as the C because of size and weight) but a weak stereo system acoustically.

The E is fine, lacking on power/ handling when compared to the others but can sit 5 adults comfortably, monstor trunk and nice and smooth.... BUT I HAVE ONE ALREADY!

Sigh..... I dunno yet. Time will tell.....

I skipped the V8 models because of fuel economy and other things that I can not discuss at this time The current V8's have 302 HP and 339? tq... our new V8 in the S class has 383 HP and 392 tq
Suggestions?

			clk in white FTW!
as for the acoustics in the coupe should be leaps and bounds better then a sedan. the harmon kardon should be available for the coupe and should always sound better then a sedan. based on what you said sounds like the clk is the way to go

I wasn't too fond of the CLK you brought home either. As much as I wanted one when I sat in it, when it was riven I didn't like it much.
No R class? Or M class? coulda sworn you said suv would be next lol.

i woudl go with the C350. it sounds like it has more of the performance you enjoy and you don't really need that abig a car to drive back and forth to work and on the occasional trip. it also gets the best mileage of the three IIRC.

Gotta realize money plays a factor. He gets an awesome discount, just not enough on the higher end models and still pay the mortgage etc.

OHHHHHHHH MAN!! 540i is what I want real bad...that or an M5. I figured I could get 85% of the M5 performance in a 540. Very cool man, very cool. I love BMW, probably my favorite car company.

FYI Al, the R-Class is not a pacifica, they don't share any parts. They may compete in the same market segment, but they're two separate vehicles.
The End

I never said Chevy is #1. I never "wised" up, Ive wanted a BMW M5 since birth. I like GM as a company overall, they supply many cars that are much more attainable and have a richer history then others. The M5 is the main reason I want a CTS-V because it is basicly a cut-rate M5. The present state of BMW...not a huge fan of. I am mixed on the Bangle designs, but they are making a big impression on other car makers. Just look at the tail of the new MB S class.
 My father is looking into getting a 2000-2002 740iL. Ive wanted a 540i or a M5 for a long time. I actualy almost bought a 1969(I think) BMW 2002.
My defense of GM is more along the lines that I hate when people make 30 year old assumptions and use 30 year old stereotypes to describe a car from GM and the total lack of realization that they HAVE improved and that things HAVE changed.
